Hola people!! Remember in one of the last blogs we discussed the realistic flowers that can be used for decorating terrariums and using those pretty glass pieces to enhance the beauty of our surroundings. Well now that we know there is a wide range of plants that beautify the texture of terrariums making them more worthwhile. Also, do you remember that in the last blog I mentioned about making terrariums on our own?

Well, this is what exactly I would be doing in this blog. Terrariums are available both online and offline but as you know making something on your own is something worth your time. Also, you can make use of the waste materials kept in your house contributing a little to the environment. So read on learn about DIY terrariums that can enhance your beauty and reduce the hassle of going places to choose the perfect terrarium for yourself.

What You Need?

  • Stones

  • Pebbles

  • Potting Mix

  • Glass Vessel

  • Artificial Plants

How to Proceed

To begin with, select a glass vessel it can anything. You can select a glass jar, a bulb, an aquarium or on a larger note a fish tank. Once you finalize your glass vessel for making your terrarium you are ready to move forward to the next step towards making your terrarium.

The next step for moving ahead with the process of making your own terrarium is starting to decorate your glass vessel. Now fill the bottom level of your glass vessel with stones. You can either choose white stones or colorful stones that entirely depends on your wish how you want your terrarium to look like. The layer should be around 1.5 to 2 inches, not more.

The second layer would be that of the potting mix. Take potting mix and start making the third layer. Make sure you don't overfill your terrarium with potting mix as it might make things messy. The maximum length of the layer can vary between 3 inches to 3.5 inches.

The fourth step is to implant your plants. We have already discussed the plants to be used in our previous blog. So you can buy artificial flowers online and place them in the terrarium but don't plant a lot of plants or it would look a mess.

The last step is to add a pinch of decoration to your creation. Make a final layer with pebbles on the top to give your terrarium a more attractive look.

Congratulations!! Your own day terrarium is ready. Now you can keep it anywhere you want in your house to enhance the beauty of your surroundings. Also, the old glass stuff kept in your house has been used.
